Hands On Training... Like You Have Never Before Experienced
Workshops with Delinda offer a personal experience for every participant. Delinda works with every dog and handler individually within the group to address specific problems and training solutions tailored just for you. Those attending without their own dogs will also be handling dogs and assisting in the training, so everyone receives a hands-on experience.
There are advantages to each type of participation. Attending with your dog gives you the benefit of having Delinda meet your dog and personally work all weekend with you and your dog. It also gives your dog added socialization with people and other dogs. However, having your dog attend with you can be an additional distraction to learning. Those attending without their dogs have the beneift of focussing just on the class materials and techniques presented, giving the ability to sit back, relax, and fully observe.
An added benefit of attending with your dog is that family members can attend for only the cost of the catered workshop meals. For those attending without their dogs, additional family members may attend at 50% off the workshop price, which includes meals. Having your family attend puts everyone on the same page with training and gives you a much stronger foundation for success with your dog. Arrangements for family members can be made once the initial registration has been completed.
If you decide to attend without your dog, you can also consider scheduling a private training session with Delinda as a follow-up to what you learned in the workshop. Having already taken the workshop, a simple hour with Delinda will easily seal your knowledge and address any problems with your own dog while gaining the added benefit of working in your own home. As you can see, both types of attendance are valuable and have their benefits. The decision depends on your learning style and preferences.
